Open Access Policy

The Journal of Accounting Studies is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal that is freely and permanently available to everyone online. All published research can be accessed without subscription, registration, or fees. There are no library fees and no download limits; everything published is free to access and free to read for everyone, and authors are also permitted to self-archive their work. As an open-access journal, the journal is committed to maintaining its own digital archive of every issue.

The Journal of Accounting Studies operates under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0), which allows research to be copied free of charge for non-commercial use with appropriate citation information, provided that the format or content of the research, including the copyright notice, is not altered:

  • Posting the research on the author's (authors') personal website, provided that the website is non-commercial.
  • Posting the article online as part of a non-commercial open-access institutional repository, or any other non-commercial open-access publishing website affiliated with the author's (authors') place of work.

A complete copy of the work and all supplementary materials, including a copy of the permission as stated above, is deposited in a suitable standard electronic format immediately upon initial publication in at least one online repository, to enable open access, unrestricted distribution, interoperability, and long-term archiving.
